Lady Godiva

In the 11th century in Coventry, Lady Godiva asked her husband Leofric to lower the taxes he imposed on his people. As he refused, she crossed the streets of Coventry, sitting naked on her horse. This legend has had numerous versions and artistic representations through the centuries. For this series I imagined Lady Godiva, alone with her horse, in the moments that precede her naked ride.
