Nude photography is one of the most commonly practised themes. And, as for all other arts, the ways in which to approach it are endless. For my part, I have decided very early on to give most of my nudes aesthetics one may call academic. I have always been keen to render in the best possible way the way in which light lays its eyes on the female body. Just like my portrait work, my relationship with the models is above all one of collaboration and constant exchanges. If they enable me to observe and photograph them, I give them in exchange a sincere and empathic eye.
I almost never show a face in my nude photographies. This not only enables the models to remain anonymous but also helps to make a clear distinction between nude and portrait photography, even though making a portrait of a nude person is commonplace.
